We are Tanana Rafters

Based out of Anchorage, Alaska, this award winning bluesy folk-rock band has really gained ground since their formation in November of 2013.  Carrying their roots in folk, country, blues, and bluegrass with them, they've traveled all over the last frontier and beyond, riling crowds of dancers and stilling hearts.

Their debut album, All My Fault, was released in July, 2017.

A second album, Bend, was released in March, 2019.

PRESS for ‘Bend”

“The essence of the records mood could be summed up in the lyrics, “I am high/I am low/I am something to behold”, from ‘Old Friend.’

…As a whole, it sets the tone to behold Whiteman’s honey-coated voice that ranges through deep whispers, painful cries, country twang and tones of a traditional Irish songstress.

…Lyrically, it’s an album of relationships, self-identity and acceptance. ‘BEND’ is a flowing mix of human emotions.”

Robert Foran III -The Anchorage Press

PRAiSE for “For My Father” track 6 of ‘Bend’

“If you’re a fan of eccentrically immersive Folk, you should probably start getting excited…”

-Amelia Vandergast with A&R Factory

Thanks for all the support, everyone. We are blown away and so grateful. We hope this album connects people to each other and themselves, and adds a little bit of realness in the world. It's so much of our hearts.

With love,

-TR
